Pinoy Memories - Philippine President Marcos explains his "New Society" plan for the ordinary Filipino since declaring Martial Law through-out the nation on September 21, 1972. Martial law and the new society: the proclamation of martial law - the wave of bombings and subversive activities led President Marcos to declare that "there is throughout the country a state of anarchy and lawlessness, chaos and disorder, chaos and destruction is the order of a real war between the forces ofcorrectly, our government and the New People's Army and their satellite organizations ... and public order and security of the nation demand that immediate steps are taken, fast, decisive and effective way to protect and ensure, for peace and security, the country and its people and the authority of the government are to hold . "On September 21, 1972 President Marcos issued Presidential Proclamation No. 1081 placing the country under full martial law, but wasannounced only two days later.
